                   Sportsmanship Award

 One of the most prestigious awards presented by the World Twirling Association is the David C. Pray Memorial Award for Sportsmanship.

In memory of David C. Pray, who was the original Rules Commissioner of the World Twirling Association, a special award for Sportsmanship is awarded each July at the World Majorette Festival.  This award is presented to a senior (ages 16-23) who has, throughout her twirling career, been a good example to others.  One who is genuinely friendly and helpful to other competitors.  One who wishes others good luck and congratulates them with sincerity.  One who accepts wins as well as losses graciously.

 All seniors (Beginners, Intermediates, and Advanced), who are members of the World Twirling Association and participate in the World Majorette Festival are invited to apply for this award.
