LIST OF EVENTS AND 
DESCRIPTIONS EVENTS
(Description and Order)
 

Group Age Divisions (average)

Tiny Tot:  3-5,  Miniature: 6-7,   Juvenile: 8-10,   Junior: 11-13,   Senior: 14-23 and, 24 and up. 

 1. Drill Corps-   10 or more, marching and military maneuvering, 5-6 minutes.   

 2. Parade Corps- 10 or more, marching precision around floor, 3-6 minutes

 3. Show Corps- 10 or more, marching twirling, novelty, 6-8 minutes.

 4. Strut Line Team- 3 or more, marching down floor & back (Fancy Strut Format) 3 minutes maximum. 

 5. Twirling Team- 3 or more, unison twirling 1:30-2:30 minutes salute to salute, large division for 6 or more.

 6. Dance/Twirl-  3 or more, twirling while dancing 2-3 minutes, large division for 6 or more.

 7. High School Line- 3 or more, high school majorettes and/or color guard, 2-6 minutes

 8. Dance Line-3 or more, jazz only, 2-3 minutes.

 9. Show Team- 3 or more, novelty equipment, dancing, 2-3 minutes.

10. Pom-Pon Team- 3 or more, pom-pons, dancing, 2-3 minutes.

Awards (unless otherwise specified): 
1st place trophies, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place medals 
  more if warranted)

11. Special Beginners Box Strut-never won a 1st place in any strut.

12. Beginners Box Strut- must not have won over 8, 1st ‘s in any strut.

13. Special Beginners Military Box- never won a 1st place in military strut or military box, use military beat.

14. Beginners Military Box- must not have won over 8 1st’s in military strut or military box, use military beat.

15. Parade Majorette- parade routine once around a square.

16. Advanced Box- Recommended for those who have won over eight (8) 1st's places in strutting events

17. Advanced Military Box Strut- Recommended for those who have won over eight (8) 1st's places in military strutting events

18. Miss Majorette of the Month- members, model gown or a party dress in “T”, 1:30 minutes maximum, 1st and 2nd places qualify for World’s Most Beautiful Majorette Pageant.

19. W.T.A. Queen – model gown or party dress in “T”, 1:30 minutes maximum.

20. Beginners Fancy Best Appearing- “T” modeling, fancy costume, baton, 1:30 minutes maximum, must not have won over eight 1st's in Fancy Best Appearing.

21. Advanced Fancy Best Appearing - "T" modeling, fancy costume, baton, 1:30 minutes maximum

22. Beginners Military Best Appearing - "T" modeling, military costume, baton, 1:30 minutes maximum, must not have won over eight 1st's in Military Best Appearing

23. Advanced Military Best Appearing - "T" modeling, military costume, baton, 1:30 minutes maximum

24.  Rating Military Strutting - rating event, ribbons awarded, time same as Military Strut

25.  Novice  Military Strutting - not over  3  1st place in Military Strut, 1:30 minutes  maximum, military uniform not required.

26.  Beginners Military Strutting - not over eight 1st's in Military Strut, 1:30 minutes maximum. Military uniform required.

27.  Intermediate Military Strutting - not over 15 firsts in Military Strut, 2 minutes maximum.  Military uniform required.

28.  Advanced Military Strutting - 2 minutes maximum. Military uniform required.

29.  Rating Fancy Strutting - rating event, ribbons awarded, time same as Fancy Strut.

30.  Novice Fancy Strutting - not over  3  1st place in Fancy Strut, 1:30 minutes  maximum.

31.   Beginners Fancy Strutting - not over eight 1st's in Fancy Strut, 1:30 minutes maximum.

32.  Intermediate Fancy Strutting - not over 15 firsts in Fancy Strut, 2 minutes maximum.

33.  Advanced Fancy Strutting - 2 minutes maximum.

34.  Freestyle Fancy Strutting - format personal choice, must strut in one lane however, 2 minutes maximum

35.   Rating Solo Twirling - rating event, ribbons awarded, time same as solo twirl.

36.  Novice Solo Twirling - not over  3  1st place in solo, 1-2 minutes

37.  Beginners Solo Twirling - not over eight 1st's in solo, 1-2 minutes

38.  Intermediate Solo Twirling - not over 15 firsts in solo, 1:45 -2:15 minutes

39.  Advanced Solo Twirling - 2-2:30 minutes from salute to salute.

Novelty Events (age division 3-5, 6-9, 10-13, 14-23, 24 & up)

40.  Show Routine - creative routine with theme, novelty equipment, dancing 3 minute maximum.  

41..  Individual Dance/Twirl  - creative individual dance twirl using one, two, and/or three batons, 3 minutes maximum.

42.  Flag Twirling - 2 minutes maximum from salute to salute.

43.  Beginners Two-Baton Twirling - must not have won over eight first in Two-Baton Twirling, 2 minutes maximum from salute to salute.

44.  Advanced Two-Baton Twirling - 2 minutes maximum from salute to salute.

45.  Three-Baton Twirling - three or two and three baton twirling, 2 minutes maximum from salute to salute.

46.  Hoop Twirling - 2 minutes maximum from salute to salute.

47.  Twirling Duets - unison twirling, 2 minutes maximum from salute to salute.

48.  Fancy Strutting Duets - 2 minutes maximum from beginning to end of routine.
