Results Of The 2012 Miss High School Majorette Contest

If you meet the following qualifications, you are welcome to compete for the title, “Miss High School Majorette.”

· A member of the World Twirling Association
· A high school student
· A performing twirler with your high school band

What to do?

Give a presentation that would be comparable to that of a halftime show.  A standard baton must be used along with dance, strut, and/or novelties.  This routine must be choreographed to marching band style music; band music from a contestant’s own band or a college band would be appropriate.

Appear before the judges in your majorette costume for an interview.

Judging:

For the performance, judging will be based on the over-all show presentation and entertainment value and not on difficulty of tricks as in a standard solo twirling routine.

For the interview, contestants will be scored on Responses, Voice, Composure, Grooming, and Personality.

When?

This competition will be held the Saturday after Thanksgiving at the Holiday Majorette Spectacular.  Join in!

For more information, please contact the World Twirling Association, P.O. Box 469, Napoleon, OH 43545.
